The Heritage Highway Tourism Centre is proudly supported by the Southern Midlands Council.
The town of Oatlands has continued since 1827 mostly as a rural service centre to the local agricultural community of the Southern Midlands. However, the town also has the distinction of having the largest collection of colonial sandstone buildings in a village environment in Australia making it a must to see along the Heritage trail. A large number of these buildings are situated in the main street retaining the character of this 19th century town. Much of the sandstone used was quarried locally from the shores of Lake Dulverton. Some fine examples worth noting are the convict-built gaol Supreme Courthouse the Callington Mill.
The Heritage Highway Tourism Centre is located at 85 High Street at the northern end of the town.
We contribute to the visitexperience by providing a one-stop shop information booking centre fall local intrastate travel.
