Holiday parks are the first sub-sector to formally demonstrate commitment to the national-level tourism strategy goals Minister of Tourism Damien O'Connor says.

As 70 per cent of visitor nights are spent at New Zealands holiday parks he recognised the importance of listening to feedback from the sector, as he floated plans for a environmental levy for overseas visitors coming to New Zealand.

Pet test Chloe camps with GoSee team, Ozpig and Oztent on Great Ocean Road

Hello everyone my name is Chloe and I have been camping for the first time.

We stayed at Skenes Creek Beachfront Park, probably the only caravan park in Victoria between Geelong and Apollo Bay that allows dogs and camp fires. And it is right on the beach.

We wanted to know where I could take my humans camping and assess the good and bad of that for them and me.

We also tested a new Oztent and tried Ozpig cooking and its capabilities for future trips.

WDH and SLS debate rages but it is a myth that WDH is not required when towing

Self Leveling Suspension does not transfer weight from the back to front wheels of a tow vehicle.

All it does is level the vehicle. Whatever loads are on the wheels remains the same, and it requires a Weight Distribution Hitch to transfer weight from the back to front wheels.

It is a myth about SLS that a WDH is not required when towing. Today we post comment on SLS and WDH from icon towing equipment maker Hayman Reese -

GoSee tours New Zealand's North Island for 11c a kilometer

GoSee hit the road for 11 days with fuel prices at NZ$1.749 cents a litre and rising in one of the smallest cheapest cars available to Kiwis and did just that.

The Daihatsu Sirion is a different approach for GoSee.

Bred on big vehicles we are a long way from the big six-cylinder sedan hire cars and diesel motorhomes which are our usual choice for long-run touring in New Zealand's North and South Islands.

GoSee finds with patience, technique and understanding Cobb cooks like great love

But like the perfect partner the more time put into the relationship the greater the rewards.

GoSee uses a Cobb modified for boating. This will stimulate the digestive juices of hungry boaties in Australia and New Zealand.

The Cobb is no fast-food speed cooker. The tastes it creates from its recipe book in its eco-oven process must be tried to be appreciated.

White is too conspicuous a shade in their native environment for that.

But there are greater dangers to the survival of beautiful animals than occur in the wild.
